MURMURES
In the near future, human beings still speak, publish and express themselves, but nobody really hears anyone else any more. Words still exist; the voice, however, has disappeared. The world has become incapable of listening. Some people say that, in the past, voices travelled freely between human beings, like migratory birds. They were called the Whispers.
Giovanni Zazzera moves through a unique sound installation in which the dancers generate sounds through touch, thus making their movements audible in real time as extensions of the body that give voice to the whispers.
The piece explores what lies behind our silences: those unspoken thoughts, those desires for emancipation, those invisible forms of resistance that inhabit our bodies.
